Whenever one encounters a work by Bernini, the only reaction can be awe. How the f’ck did he so masterfully carve marble to appear as flesh? Even his few paintings and drawings breath a life of their own. Enjoy some close up shots of his many works in the Galleria Borghese in Rome.

Just so y’all know, I am happy for my tombstone to read the following:
“Here lies Tegan. She died of Rumbelle feels.”
…it makes me ridiculously happy that Lynda Carter supports marriage equality.
I know she’s not the REAL Wonder Woman, but…no, wait…
Maybe she is.
Thank you, Ms. Carter!
It’s almost autumn. I can smell the series premieres in the air.

The very fact that women’s healthcare is becoming a political platform to be kicked about, and that male politicians feel that it is their place to decide for us what we can do with our bodies, is, at the very least, appalling.

Diego Velázquez, Rokeby Venus (detail), c. 1647-51, oil on canvas. National Gallery, London; Fresco Jesus
Continuing with today’s mirror theme… For some reason every time I see Fresco Jesus I think of the Rokeby Venus. Click here to read about Velázquez’s painting, which incidentally is…
I will never be able to understand those people who read a book, watch an entire television series, or see a movie and when it’s over say that was good, continuing on with their daily lives, completely unaffected.

Well, that works. Haha.
I’m sorry, guys. Unfortunately, The RiskPig is a bit of a prude. When people talk about s-e-x stuff, her face turns all red and then she plugs her ears with baby kittens.
my last words will be “fuck why am I not regenerating”

So I just saw the preview for The Hobbit when I went to see Dark Knight Rises today and my thought process upon seeing this image was:
“OMG THEY GOT WATSON TO PLAY BILBO?”
and, not soon after,
“OH NO WATSON, SHERLOCK WILL NEVER FUCK YOU NOW, YOU’RE A HOBBIT.”
On a related note, am I the only one hoping there is a tall, fair skinned but raven-locked elf with a penchant for solving mysteries that takes a shinning to Bilbo?
